Γαλλία: Ανακοινώθηκε η νέα Κυβέρνηση – Χάνει την πλειοψηφία στην Εθνοσυνέλευση ο Πρόεδρος Μακρόν Adologala.gr

Ανακοινώθηκε η νέα κυβέρνηση στη Γαλλία στην οποία συμμετέχουν και πολλοί νέοι. Ακολουθεί το ρεπορτάζ στην Αγγλική:

The new government was announced earlier this day. It is composed of several newcomers: Pap Ndiaye, Minister of National Education and Youth, Sylvie Retailleau, Miniser of Higher Education, Rima Abdul-Malak, Minister of Culture, Amélie-Oudéa-Castera, Minister of Sports, Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, Isabelle Rome, Minister in charge of equality between women and men, diversity and equal opportunities, Charlotte Caubel, Secretary of State in charge of Childhood. Incomers already accustomed to politics: Catherine Colonna, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Damien Abad, Minister of Solidarity, Autonomy and Disabled People, Stanislas Guérini, Minister of Transformation and Public Service, Yaël Braun-Pivet, Minister of the Overseas, Christophe Béchu, Minister Delegate in charge of local authorities, Justine Benin, Secretary of State in charge of the sea, and Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Secretary of State for Development, Francophonie and National Partnerships. Finally, four ministers keep their place among the government: Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, Eric-Dupond Moretti, Minister of Justice and Clément Beaune, Minister Delegate in Charge of Europe. Others from the former government switch ministries, such as Amélie de Montchalin who becomes Minister of the Ecological Transition, Sébastien Lecornu, former Minister of the Overseas becomes the Minister of the Armed Forces, Brigitte Bourguignon becomes the Minister of Health, Olivier Dussopt becomes the Minister of Labour, Marc Fesneau becomes the Minister of Agriculture, Agnès Pannier-Runacher becomes the Ministre of Energy Transition, Olivier Véran, former Minister of Health becomes the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament, Franck Riester becomes the Minister Delegate in charge of Foreign Trade and Attractiveness and Olivia Grégoire becomes the new Secretary of State and Government Spokesperson.

The new Prime minister Elizabeth Borne – who is a woman, a first since Edith Cresson in 1991 – is the former Minister of Labour. She was appointed by President Emmanuel Macron, who was re-elected for a new term on April 24.

Reactions quickly arose from different political parties. Marine Le Pen, far right politician, said on Twitter that “Pap Ndiaye’s appointment to [ministry of the] National Education, an assumed indigenist, is the last stone of the deconstruction of our country, its values and its future”. Eric Zemmour, far right candidate added, “Olivier Véran, Macron’s lying machine, is appointed in charge of the Democratic Life. His mission: to confine the political debate and impose a curfew on the opposion”. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, left-wing politician said concerning the government, that “in a month, everything will change”.

At the same time, Emmanuel Macron lost the absolute majority at the National Assembly.

According to the first exit-polls results, the President’s political party (“Ensemble!”) will not have the absolute majority at the National assembly (224 seats). On the other side, “Nupes” (left-wing coalition led by Jean-Luc Mélenchon) has earned 149 seats, meaning that the deputies of “Ensemble!” will have to deal with a strong left-wing force at the Assembly.

The far-right party “Rassemblement national”, led by the loser of the presidential election – Marine Le Pen – has beat its record of deputies: 89. Le Pen party hailed tonight the French election result as “tsunami”, while a minister of Macron’s government – thus member of “Ensemble!” – admitted that the result was “far from what [they] hoped”, before adding that “it was not the clear victory we hoped”.

Early projections then show “Nupes” with 149 to 203 seats, “Ensemble!” with 200 to 260 seats, right-wing parties with 35 to 82 seats and “Rassemblement National” with 60 to 100 seats. The abstention rate was estimated at 54%.
